Sunset and Mojitos at Fort Myers Beach

Denise Knecht, one of our hosts, picked us up at the airport and, desperately seeking as much sun as was still available in the day, we headed straight to the beach. And what a beach it was -- wide and glowing white. The sunset was beautiful. It went so fast I nearly missed getting any pictures.

Sarah and Denise enjoyed mojitos at the Tiki bar. I indulged in soda water, straight up, with lime on the side. Sitting by the ocean seafood was mandatory so we had gator bites (breaded and fried alligator tail) and grouper tacos. All excellent.

Time to head for the house of our generous hosts Bob Schmidt and his wife, Denise, who were my classmates at Cleveland Marshall College of Law, and have been good friends since. They have a beautiful home and we appreciate their generosity in making us welcome there. Beautiful orchids grace every room.

I expect we'll be seeing a lot of this room!  : - )
